Retirada do álbum On and On (2003), segundo da carreira do havaiano Jack Johnson, a canção The Horizon has been defeated apresenta-se com uma reflexão (bem melódica) sobre a nossa dependência excessiva da tecnologia. Até que ponto a evolução tecnológica (a um ritmo avassalador) justifica que o ser humano vá perdendo a sua identidade e as suas características? É só uma canção mas, no limite, também é um quase-esboço de uma tese de sociologia. Play.
